There will discussion about subjective and objective evaluation and how to manage these cases when they present to you in the office or clinic.  This seminar will consist of lecture, practical hands-on labs, and video demonstration of patients with actual upper extremity dysfunction.  During the afternoon session, we will encourage questions and comments regarding the management of the presented cases.

Course Description

Objectives
  1. Understand the functional anatomy of the elbow, wrist and hand
  2. Perform special tests to help evaluate elbow, wrist and hand injuries
  3. Differentiate between several types of elbow, wrist and hand dysfunction
  4. Identify “Red Flags” and unusual diagnoses that require prompt medical attention
  5. More clearly manage and treat multiple upper extremity injuries
  6. Understand the importance of a team approach for proper management of upper extremity dysfunction
  7. Rule out less common underlying causes of elbow, wrist and hand pain(ie. referred and radiating pain)
